African Communities Council (ACC)  


The organization aims to foster unity and cooperation and be the coordinating body of the African community in Australia, with the aim of encouraging, developing and strengthening good relations amongst the African communities and working towards the spirit of multiculturalism within Australia.

We provide FREE and confidential, face-to-face and telephone information and referral services.

This service is funded by the Australian Department of Immigration & Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) under the Community Settlement Services Scheme (CSSS).

Our Services

. Settlement Services:
We employ a worker to provide settlement services and community development to migrant, refugee and humanitarian entrants, in particular women and young people from African communities living in the Sydney Metropolitan area.

. Community Development:
Network development, cultural events, information sessions, cross cultural education, assistance with establishing groups, group activities and looking for funding and other resources.
