Welcome visitors..
AfroShanghai was started in July 2005 as a non-for-profit website
that aimed to bring together the growing African community in
Shanghai and China. The site consisted mainly in a discussion forum,
and within a few months we already had more than fifty registered
members and many other non-registered regular visitors, and the
number of monthly pages viewed has been growing consistently,
proving that such initiative was indeed needed. Today AfroShanghai
is the only website of its kind targeting the African community,
students, company employees or business people, in China.

| In order to get more
funds to maintain and expand the community's website, we plan to offer some
services targeted mostly to the African business community, the African
embassies, consulates and chamber of commerce in China, and some categories
of Chinese companies as well. |
