Although this is a part of Alkatek's Internet
Technologies service network, Wenze.com is a platform, which in its own has formed a
complete division providing online and offline services such as
corporate services, events, and government driven activities.
Background
Over the last 3 to 4 decades, there have
been (and there still continues to be) numerous migrating activities
where Africans have found their way out of the continent in pursuit of
higher level of education and living standards. Many countries have
experienced and continue to experience these life changing movements due
to the poor or non-developing conditions of almost all parts of the
African continent. Out of the many people that migrated out, most if not
all of them settled down overseas where they started their own
businesses and became involved in the social-economical and political
affairs of their respective new countries.
The businesses that sprung out of the
new African Diaspora provide lines of services that “only” Africans can
better relate to (i.e. immigration services, translations,
import/export, African music production & entertainment,
telecommunication services via calling cards sale, exotic foods, foreign
language press/media & magazine, online community services, etc.); thus,
the creation of a whole new market that Alkatek's CEO, Mr. Alain Adunagow, calls “Corporate
Africa”
In order to capture and control this
arising new virtual market, Alkatek, Inc. has specifically created and designed
(since March 1, 1999) a platform called “Wenze.com”, which stands for
Market Place, where these African owned businesses can come
together in a safe and trustworthy environment, for an annual membership fee, and bring about the awareness
campaign of their businesses, services and products, thus generating
business trades between themselves and anyone who wishes to do business
with the African communities.
Concept, Purpose & Vision
Alain Adunagow's idea of Wenze.com is to create a
voice for the African communities in the US and abroad that will help
market Corporate Africa to Africa and to the corporate world – a
two-phase fold unveiling this new virtual market to the world.
Phase 1
– Marketing “Corporate Africa” to Africa and Africans
Campaigning the idea of Wenze.com as the
African Business Portal with the purpose of gaining commitment from the
African Diaspora in order to create a voice for the African business
community that will help gain efficiencies and capitalize on
opportunities.
Phase 2
– Market “Corporate Africa” to the corporate world
With an established voice of the African
Diaspora, buying power for all membership, and good synergy and team
dynamics between Wenze.com and its memberships, we shall proceed to the
next phase of the plan, leveraging:
§
Buying power to gain
efficiencies for corporate services obtained from large businesses in
the corporate world.
§
The voice of Corporate
Africa to capitalize on opportunities and run government driven
activities such as:
·
Touching African
governments with projects where Alkatek, Inc. (via Wenze.com and its
memberships) facilitates cooperation of “developed” countries in
supporting business development of small and mid-sized businesses in
Africa.
·
Lobbying for economic
development and other non-developing factors in Africa through the
United States.
·
Working with the African
American Lobby to help create a voice that will help address current
hidden and disregarded issues in African countries.
